Basingstoke Fire Station

Basingstoke, UK
Ecostrip and Modula Radiant Heating Panels

The fire station, most recently transformed into a mass vaccination centre to fight COVID-19, was recently given a long overdue upgrade, with their last facilities dating back to 1966. The upgrade contains new and improved modern living quarters for the crew, a training tower, and a cutting-edge smoke training building.

Frenger's Ecostrip and Modula Radiant Heating Pnaels were used for the newly built Fire Station.

Due to the panels not containing any fans or other moving parts, maintenance is also minimised, making it the ideal choice for installation in areas that are difficult to access. The Ecostrip comes with corrosion proof casing of powder coated high quality steel, with the panel itself providing an energy effective heating solution without the risk of fire. The panel can run lengths from 1m up to 100m depending on the requirements of the project.

Each Modula panel is constructed from smooth-faced Zintec steel, extruded aluminium heat exchanger pipe seats and 15mm OD copper coils that are porduced in-house on Frenger's cutting-edge full CNC Serpentine Bend Machine from thousand-metre drums of copper to make the heating coils without any joints whatsoever and to safe guard against the risks of leakage.
