Education and Research
Education facilities such as schools and academies, are an important environment for the next generation with a large portion of their early life spent indoors here. Due to their high occupancy density, it can be difficult to provide the right levels of thermal comfort in schools. Frenger® have a range of products which provide the perfect solution for education and research facilities and throughout the years have supplied these to some of the highest profile and prestigious education facilities, which provide innovative solutions to create engaging learning spaces.
Frenger® designs, manufactures, and supplies a range of Active Chilled Beams (ACB) which draw upon high performance technologies and patented design features to deliver efficient cooling to commercial, education and healthcare environments. Designed to integrate into suspended ceiling systems, Active Chilled Beams fit easily into common ceiling systems and have removable faceplates that can be perforated to match perforated metal ceilings where required.
Benefits of High Thermal Comfort:
• Increased Productivity
• Better ability to focus
• Low Noise / Quiet Operation
• Improved well-being for building occupants
• Cost Reduction – due to more efficient heating/cooling methods
To help schools achieve net zero, MVHR units can cut heat losses by separating the interior air of the building from the external air.
Providing ventilation to help maintain good indoor air quality and thermal comfort levels, Frenger’s MVHR range of products provide air filtration to meet the industry standards set out in Building Bulletin 101.

X-Wing is a passive cooling unit but with a considerable radiant absorption quotient. These attractive Chilled Beam elements have four large, elongated surfaces painted black per waterway to provide the most radiant absorbing surface within a given envelope on the market and the shallowest construction depth.
Frenger’s Multi-Service Chilled Beams provide all the cooling and heating benefits of a standard Chilled Beam, but also include features such as lighting, PIR sensors, smoke detectors, sprinklers or any other required building service, in a single pre-fabricated unit.
Multi-Service Radiant Panels (MSRP’s) combine Radiant Panel (electric or LTHW) with acoustic sound absorption and integrated LED lighting 100% prefabricated, ‘plug n play’ units. Providing the ideal solution for schools and universities, due to their flexibility allowing other services to be incorporated such as; apertures for sprinkler heads, compartment trunking for other electrical services, apertures for PA and VA speakers plus lighting controls and many other building services.
EcoStrip XP is the optimal solution for heating larger buildings. For school applications, EcoStrip XP can be used for heating larger areas such as sports halls, and good suitability given its robust design. Rear Ball guards are also available as an option. These panels have no fans or moving parts and are virtually "Maintenance Free." They do not create any noise, and there is no need for ongoing maintenance which allows for installation in difficult-to-access areas, such as sports halls.
Modula is an unobtrusive modular radiant heating panel which are manufactured from 1.0 mm thick smooth-faced zinc coated mild steel which are polyester powder-coat finished white (RAL 9010) as standard with other colours available on request. The panels are designed to be integrated into a standard 24mm exposed grid ceiling system, free hanging (exposed) or surface mounted or can be installed free hanging and fully exposed.
Frenger's Armis™ Low Surface Temperature (LST) Radiators covers over an existing radiator to create a gap between the radiator and LST whilst having a negligible effect on the heat output of the radiator. The Armis™ LST covers can be manufactured to fit over the whole radiator or have apertures for the fitment of TRV or pipework. The casing is easily removable to allow quick access to the radiator for cleaning and maintenance. Learn more about Frenger's Armis® LST Radiator Covers using the button below.
