The Smoke test is conducted to ensure that the air being distributed from the Chilled Beam entrains smoothly across the room in a coanda effect instead of just being dropped directly into the room. The coanda effect allows for an equal distribution of air, delivered by Frenger's patented 'burst nozzle' techology, which also reduces the noise of the air as it is being disributed into the room.
